We are a team of specialised lawyers with many years of experience in data protection law and related areas of law such as information and IT security, competition law and compliance.
Together, we speak 10+ European languages and know the national data protection laws of the EU member states in detail in addition to the GDPR.

We live and breathe compliance and work to standards as part of our corporate culture: our office is certified to ISO 27001, a result to TISAX is available, and we are currently working towards certification to ISO 37301 (Compliance Management) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management).

Our history
2022
With activeMind.ch, we are expanding into Switzerland in order to be able to support companies there even better with all questions regarding Swiss and European data protection law.
2021
With our own compliance portal, we are consistently thinking ahead with the digitalisation of the legal system and creating solutions for our clients to simplify compliance with the GDPR.
2020
On our learning platform activeMind.academy, companies can now train their employees online on the GDPR and information security.
2019
We establish activeMind.legal UK Ltd. with an office in London. From now on, we help companies on both sides of the Channel prepare for Brexit in terms of data protection law and provide the necessary UK representatives for EU companies after the UK leaves the EU.
2017
With activeMind.jobs, our companies now have their own career portal. There, students and graduates can gain insights into working with data protection law and information security. Of course, there are also numerous job offers.
2016
In order to better serve the wishes of international clients and to be able to provide individual legal advice in the context of the upcoming DSGVO, the law firm activeMind.legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH is established in Germany.
2015
activeMind AG opens the Berlin office to better meet the high demand for data protection in the capital.
2009
activeMind AG now also advises on data protection, making it one of the first ever professional providers of external data protection officers.
2000
Klaus Foitzick founds activeMind AG Management- und Technologieberatung in Munich as a consulting and training company in the field of information security.
