Part 5 Section 90 (1) of the Irish Data Protection Act gives a “right to information”, which contains the same content requirements as Article 13 GDPR.
Part 5 Section 90 (2) of the Irish Data Protection Act states that the controller shall ensure that the data subject receives the information relating to him or her within a reasonable period after the date on which the controller obtains the personal data.
Since the GDPR also requires the information to be provided at the very beginning or right after the processing of data, these requirements are inconsistent with each another. Since there is no opening clause provided by the GDPR, this derogating provision might not be applicable.
