Sensitive personal data
Article 66(6) of the Data Protection Act defines the original term ‘‘sensitive personal data’’ used in Czech legislation. The Article includes a rule that if any Czech legislation included the term “sensitive personal data”, from the effective date of the Data Protection Act, it would have to be interpreted as personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation or personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences or related security measures.
