Data transfer under Austrian law

The 4^th section (§§ 58 & 59 DSG) contains provisions on the transfer of personal data to third countries or international organisations.

The provisions of this section shall apply to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purpose of preventing, investigating, detecting or prosecuting criminal offenses or enforcing sentences, including the protection and prevention of threats to public security, national security, intelligence and military self-defence.
