Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Self-Determination with Respect to Information and the Freedom of Information (Info Act) (2011. évi CXII. törvény az információs önrendelkezési jogról és az információszabadságról) is the Hungarian Data Protection Act that has been amended to ensure it conforms to the GDPR. The structure of the amended Info Act is shown as follows:
- Specific provisions, that apply in addition to the GDPR, including procedural rules
- Specific provisions for data processing operations beyond the scope of the GDPR
- Implementation of EU Directive 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council (Law Enforcement Directive) to govern data processing for law enforcement, national security and national defence purposes.
